“TRAIN A CHILD IN THE WAY HE SHOULD GO, AND WHEN HE IS OLD HE WILL NOT DEPART FROM IT.”
Your son is asking now…
- WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A MAN?
Who will show me!? All men have asked it.
Our sons today are asking… BUT WHO IS ANSWERING?
Many of us as parents feel helpless in answering this critical
question for our sons. We feel this way because the answer remains
ambiguous at best in our culture.
NOW is the time to MAKE AN INCREDIBLE DIFFERENCE in YOUR SON’S LIFE….
WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IN YOUR SON’S LIFE IF A FEW MEN HE RESPECTED INVESTED DEEPLY INTO HIS HEART OVER THE COURSE
OF A YEAR…WITH A THOUGHTFUL PLAN AND WITH PURPOSE?
YOUR SON’S FUTURE… HIS CHARACTER
I believe there is no better system by which parents can start or continue to impact their son than Heart Of A Nation. The conversation pieces are already built into the system to take the pressure off, and the way they work in stories about Tom’s Special Forces adventures into the sessions was awesome.

Unlike in earlier generations , no one is teaching our boys what it means to be a man of honor. If we had several months of time to research and study the issue, we might come up with something for our eager sons… but who has the time, and even if then, could we develop a comprehensive rite of passage experience for our sons…?
- Have heard the principles behind what it means to become a man.
- Are secure in their identity as sons of God – they know they have what it takes because God is their father.
We deliver a comprehensive system for parents to make a multi-generation lasting difference in their son’s life at this critical stage of life….. To start, Heart Of A Nation provides parents with: THE PLAN AND MATERIALS NEEDED FOR A MEANINGFUL WEEKEND TOGETHER WITH YOUR SON TO DISEMBARK AND LAUNCH YOUR SON’S YEAR OF BLESSING FOLLOWED BY MUCH MORE…
As a parent who loves your son, you have a limited window of time to fill the void that this question will create in your son’s life. The opportunity will not remain open for long. In fact, there are many competitors who would influence your son… Who will decide for him according to their desires for him?. “To be a man, you must buy this designer product…act this way…” In life, if we do not act, we are acted upon. Are we preparing our sons?
Having four boys of our own, it’s a blessing to know that something exists to help us transition them from boyhood to manhood.

YOUR SON’S LIFE STORY…THE DECISIONS HE MAKES… Throughout the year, quality activities together with you and your son, on with your son and his other mentors are facilitated by Heart Of A Nation’s: 5 OVERARCHING AREAS OF LIFE…beginning with, YOU WERE CREATED WITH UNIQUE GIFTS AND A UNIQUE DESTINY THAT YOU ALONE CAN FULFILL
I met Tom [Heart Of A Nation co-founder] at
an international speakers conference in Thailand in 2007. We all knew
then he was cut from a different mold. His background in business and
Special Forces is impressive, but his character and sincerity are why I
say I can think of no one more qualified to lead boys into manhood.”

I took the boys sailing last weekend. How I
wish I had this kind of advice when I was growing up. The real kicker to
me was when both boys asked to continue listening to another tape on
the way home when we were all so tired. THEY wanted to hear more.
Bill Sheehan Heart of A Nation Champion for his grandson
We bear a mighty responsibility as parents, the responsibility to raise into champions those blessed children God has entrusted to us. Let us bear forthrightly this responsibility and steward it well, so that in years to come our sons look back to their relationship with us now and reflect fondly on this time in their life… that was a time when a person I love invested mightily in my heart… and my life has never been the same…
Looking back, I really wish I had this kind of guidance and investment in my life when I was a boy. I believe every man longs for it.
Robert Fountain Sr. Pastor, Calvary Chapel, Miami Beach
Right now our sons are under attack. Popular culture and media relentlessly denigrate men as irresponsible, selfish, unreliable and worse. Will your son receive these bombarding messages… because there was no other compelling message from which he could determine his identity and worth?
MY SON’S GOD-GIVEN DESTINY… HIS GIFTS TO SHARE WITH THE WORLD… “Each boy is created with something very special to share with the world – a unique, amazing gift that only he possesses. However, for this light to survive, a boy needs an example, someone to reach down and lift him up, to show him the right way.”
Nick Skriloff, President, Heart Of A Nation
In short, WE BUILD YOUNG MEN.
In partnership with you, we build men who value above all else their relationship with God, who cherish, protect, nurture, and work hard to provide for their families and to bless others, who understand that we were designed by God for relationships, and that humility and submission to Christ’s leadership requires far more courage and character than self-seeking pride.
The HEART OF A NATION PROGRAM IS NOT EASY Our program is not easy, nor should a transition into manhood be something easily attained. If it were, it would not be meaningful OR long lasting. It took a lifetime of experiences and over TWO YEARS of diligent work to create the Heart Of A Nation discipleship rite of passage system…
Having seen graduates finish, we can tell you with 100% certainty that the results are POWERFUL!! ” Raise your children in the instruction and training of the Lord:” Paul Apostle formerly known as Saul.
You Can Change the Heart Of A Nation
You can make a difference to the destiny of a Nation by starting in your home. By investing Godly principles in the lives of our children in their transformational years, we can make a significant impact. Even more, when we purposefully create a course of action to bless our sons, amazing Godly transformation occurs in the life of the youth. God has given us a physical marker to help guide when it is time to begin that course of action. When a child hits puberty, starts having long term goals and begins leaving childish pursuits, he is ready for his Heart Of A Nation Year of Blessing to begin.
We must be intentional about a boy’s passage into young manhood, and it must be tailored to the boy and his needs. I believe whatever the details, it needs to involve test and trial of physical, emotional and spiritual nature. That needs to be done by the father-if he is available-or another significant man, and that it occurs best in a fellowship of men. It needs to be NOT “encouragement” but validation from men who know him and have journeyed with him.
John Eldredge, The Way of the Wild Heart, Pg. 134
Heart of Nation helps parents and guardians develop a tailored Year of Blessing course of action for their child. We will deliver to you pre-packaged all the steps and content needed to enable you to bless your son in a life-altering way.
Whether we like it or not, someone or something is going to influence your child. Sports, the arts and academic pursuits may provide validation and timeless truths. But it is only by chance that they may learn some of the life’s greatest lessons. But, what if they don’t? The question is what do you want to do about it? Renowned child psychologist Yuri Bronson Brenner said that the most important development stage of life is adolescence. Adolescencents are under an increasing number of influences.
Every one of us is ‘busy’ — inundated with requests. Upon occasion, a worthy project stands out and we feel compelled to say yes and deliver service. Heart of a Nation is one of these causes. I have been pleased to invest time, energy, creativity and commitment. Nick Skriloff and Tom are exemplary leaders, with sound judgment, and their Heart of a Nation project resounds decidedly within me. I am delighted to brainstorm and partake in this project and I believe you will too as you implement these thought provoking principles. After all, we are leaving this planet to our children — so why not mentor them with fine growth strategies upon their journey.
